Experience is inspiration.
An early theme in my work was experiencing the death of my mom at age 11, and how that caused a paradigm shift, where I realized I'd only be each age once, and decided to make the most of every moment.
Moving to New York and Los Angeles to pursue art for over a decade was another milestone and theme reflected in my work.
After returning to my hometown in Utah, getting married and having a baby girl, a new era and theme emerged: building my family empire.
The videos and paintings are about perception, mood and consciousness.
I earned an M.F.A. in Film & Video from CalArts in Los Angeles, and received a B.F.A. in Fine Arts from the School of Visual Arts in New York City, after touring Europe and getting a B.S. in Psychology and Sociology. I've maintained residencies in studio programs in Manhattan and at art colonies, such as The Brewery Lofts in Los Angeles.
My work has exhibited coast to coast, including at The Hive, bG, and L.A.C.D.A. and is in collections across the nation, as well as has been featured in The Huffington Post, Amadeus Mag, and Indie Buzz Rocks, to name a few.
